Late July/Early August Could Bring More Flooding

As we are experiencing some major flooding across the Northeast and even down into the Carolinas, it will eventually subside from west to east at some point Saturday evening or night. We will momentarily dry up, but then we will experience flooding rains once again.

This time the focus are could be in the mountains, but encompasses Charlotte. The below outlook from the CPC valid July 31st to August 4th is indicating a hire risk of excessive mountain moisture.

 

Since it will be so rainy in the western Carolinas and up the spine into PA, it’s no surprise temperatures will be kept to a minimum and not too hot. Temperature trends from the 31st to the 4th:
