Residents Along the East Coast Should Monitor Florence

We’re not saying it’s the end of the world, but we are saying that the Euro model has shifted Florence to the west overnight. We will have many runs between now and Monday, but if the trend west continues that will be a cause for concern among forecasters.

The westward tracks below are somewhat a cause for concern, but also consider the more northward tracks. Hence, residents along the East Coast should be aware.

As of now, residents along the immediate coastlines of the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic should start thinking about a a plan of action in case Florence starts to come closer. This is only a plan, and does not need to be implemented just yet.

GEFS ensembles have a cluster of low pressure centers just off the coast of the Carolinas around the 13th.

We have to emphasize, the exact track of Florence is not well known, and any single given point is impossible to determine as of now. Instead, keep watching the news and NWS for any information regarding Florence.
