Time to Turn on Your A/C

Last week, the Southeast was inundated with heavy rain, streets turned into rivers and rivers overflowed their banks. Many people saw rivers up to their doorstep and it did not look like it would stop anytime soon. You’re in luck, as this week we will dry out with abundant sunshine and summer like temperatures that will cause the A/C to be turned on full blast.

High pressure will be moving in Monday and causing air to sink. Sinking air allows for abundant sunshine and limited clouds. This will continue throughout this week and allow residents to recover from the flooding and enjoy the outdoors.

GFS MSLP & P-Type for 18z MON April 30th, 2018:

High pressure will continue to dominate the region, allowing abundant sunshine to envelope the Eastern US throughout the week. However, rain will move into the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic late Thursday and into Friday.

GFS MSLP & P-Type Loop from 12z MON April 30th, 2018 Until 00z FRI May 4th, 2018:

This high pressure is commonly known as theĀ “Bermuda High” and usually sets up during the summertime. With that being said, it will feel like summer for many across the East with temperatures in the upper 70s and 80s.

This week it will feel like summer and the sun will be shining so the air conditioning will be raging. Even though this week will feel like summer, it will be welcomed as winter has officially come to an end. Make sure you stay here with us as we get you prepared for what mother nature has to bring.
